AI and the future of HR
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of presenting to a Master’s class at The University of Western Australia (UWA) on a topic that’s reshaping our profession: AI in HR & Industrial Relations – What Can It Do vs. What Should It Do?
We discussed the incredible capabilities of AI—from advanced analytics and just-in-time learning to interpreting data and automating routine tasks. But more importantly, we focused on what AI should do—augment human decision-making with empathy, ethics, and oversight.
These students will soon be shaping workplaces across Australia and beyond, and I couldn’t be more encouraged by their curiosity and insight.
Thanks Renata Casado and UWA for engaging us—looking forward to connecting again at semester’s end!
